Former “16 & Pregnant” star Whitney Purvis poured her heart out in an emotional online tribute to John Mark Harris—the man who fatally overdosed after allegedly being supplied deadly drugs by her—weeks before her arrest for involuntary manslaughter, TMZ has learned.
The poignant message, posted on March 3 to Harris’ obituary page, came nearly a month after his February death and paints a vivid picture of their close bond.
💔 “I’ll Miss You Forever, John Mark”
In the lengthy post, Purvis expressed shock and regret over learning about Harris’ passing too late to attend his funeral.
“John Mark, I hate that I found out what happened today and missed your funeral. I wish I could’ve found out sooner and attended your celebration of life,” she wrote.
Purvis went on to describe the deep friendship she shared with Harris, recounting their favorite pastimes—cooking together, binge-watching TV shows, sharing Camel Crush cigarettes, and engaging in hours-long conversations about life.
“You came to my rescue on many occasions and saved me over the years. I could tell you anything and you always knew what to say.”
🕊️ A Poignant Goodbye
In her tribute, Purvis fondly remembered Harris’ culinary skills and the comfort of simply being by his side.
“I’ll miss your amazing cooking and snuggling on the couch watching TV. Most of all, I’ll miss you—a truly good-hearted and one-of-a-kind man, John Mark.”
She ended the heartfelt message with condolences to his family and a final expression of love:
“Rest in peace and my condolences to your family and friends. I pray they are able to find some kind of comfort during this tragic time. I love you forever, John Mark. Love, Whitney.”

🚨 Whitney Purvis Arrested Weeks Later in Overdose Case
As The Pop Radar previously reported, Purvis was arrested on Monday in Georgia and charged with felony involuntary manslaughter for allegedly supplying Harris with Tranq—a lethal combination of Fentanyl and Xylazine that authorities say caused Harris’ toxic overdose.
The 32-year-old reality star also faces additional charges for possession of controlled substances and intent to distribute.
📺 From Teen Mom to Legal Turmoil
Purvis first found fame in 2009 on MTV’s “16 & Pregnant”, but her life post-reality TV has been marked by personal tragedy and legal trouble.
Just weeks before her arrest, Purvis’ teenage son Weston reportedly died of natural causes, compounding an already turbulent period in her life.

At this time, Purvis remains in custody at Floyd County Jail as she awaits her next court date. Her legal team has yet to issue a public statement regarding the charges.
Harris’ grieving family, however, has spoken out. His mother, Lisa Harris, told TMZ she feels “relieved” that Purvis has been arrested and hopes no other family will have to endure a similar tragedy.
“She did this, and as a result, my son is dead,” Lisa said.
