Rapper Finesse2tymes is facing a lawsuit from his former driver, who claims the artist put his street team in harm’s way during a violent shootout outside a Georgia nightclub.
Lawsuit Filed Over June 2023 Shooting
TMZ Hip Hop obtained legal documents filed by Ernest Flores, who is suing Finesse2tymes and others over the June 18, 2023, shooting outside the now-defunct Cosmopolitan Premier Lounge near Atlanta.
Chaos at the After-Party
According to the lawsuit, Flores was employed by Finesse2tymes for the local Hot 107.9 radio station’s after-party during its annual Birthday Bash Weekend concert. Despite knowing the potential for criminal activity and the expected large crowd, the nightclub allowed the Memphis rapper to take the stage.
Around 3 AM, a violent shootout erupted, leaving five people injured, including Flores.
A Near-Fatal Encounter
Flores recounts how he survived being shot in the head, with his bullet-holed baseball cap and bloodstained clothing serving as haunting reminders of how close he came to death.
Seeking Justice
Flores accuses Finesse2tymes of negligence, alleging that he failed to provide adequate security for the event. As a result, Flores is suing for emotional trauma, pain and suffering, and substantial medical expenses incurred from the incident.
Legal Troubles Piling Up
Finesse2tymes has yet to respond to the lawsuit, and his representatives have not issued any statements regarding the case. The rapper is also currently dealing with an unrelated arrest warrant, further complicating his legal battles.
