The highly anticipated season four premiere of Power Book III: Raising Kanan has finally arrived, bringing the unexpected twists and intense drama that fans have come to expect from the hit Starz series.
Major Plot Twists Unveiled
One of the biggest shockers was the revelation that Unique (Joey Bada$$) is still alive. Despite being brutally attacked and left for dead by his brother Ronnie (Grantham Coleman), he has managed to survive—setting the stage for even more chaos.
However, the most jaw-dropping moment came when Raq (Patina Miller) discovered she was pregnant with Unique’s child—only to later terminate the pregnancy.
Patina Miller on Raq’s Emotional Journey
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Patina Miller opened up about the emotional depth of her character’s storyline, calling it a “very real, raw, and vulnerable moment.”
“We go deep,” Miller said. “That was a very real, raw, vulnerable moment for Raquel to have, and she had this moment alone like she does a lot of the time. And it’s an incredible moment that, I think, is needed and really says a lot about who she is.”
The actress revealed that the abortion took place between episodes 5 and 10 of season 3, offering fans a glimpse into a major moment that happened behind the scenes.
“You really feel for the character more,” Miller continued. “She knows the pregnancy is not the right choice for her and [is not going to let] anyone make her feel bad about it. Her mind cannot be changed this time.”
Unique’s Survival and Raq’s Unknown Fate
With Unique back in the picture, Raq remains completely unaware of his survival, setting up a dramatic conflict for the rest of the season.
“It’s like, how does she deal with that? Does she feel remorse for the decision she makes? You get to watch all of that play out this season,” Miller teased.
One thing is certain—whatever happens next, Raq will be blamed, as she always is.
“Ronnie’s not here anymore, so somebody has to be to blame [in Unique’s mind],” Miller explained. “Who’s always to blame for these things, who’s the easy one to blame for everything?”
Season 4 Premiere Date
Power Book III: Raising Kanan premiered on Starz on March 7, and with these explosive reveals, this season promises to be one of the most thrilling yet.
