Over the weekend, Ugandan singer Desire Luzinda became the center of online speculation after photos of her dressed in traditional outfits surfaced on social media.
The images quickly sparked rumors that the gospel singer had taken a major step in her relationship with fellow singer Levixone, with many assuming that she had held a secret Kwanjula (traditional introduction) ceremony.
Luzinda Sets the Record Straight
However, Desire Luzinda has come forward to clarify the situation, shutting down the wedding speculations.
Taking to her Instagram, the mother of one explained that the photos were taken for a Ugandan fabrics shop, where she was modeling traditional outfits, including the Gomesi.
“Last weekend, I modeled for… to showcase the beautiful fabrics tailored into Gomesi. This was not my introduction, FYI,” Luzinda posted.
Her clarification comes as Levixone and Luzinda’s relationship has been a topic of public interest for years, with fans eagerly anticipating a wedding between the two.
While Desire Luzinda has put the marriage rumors to rest for now, fans remain hopeful that a real introduction ceremony could be on the horizon.
