John Goodman suffered an injury while filming in the United Kingdom at the renowned Pinewood Studios, TMZ has learned.
What Happened?
A source with direct knowledge revealed that the 72-year-old actor fell on set, though the incident was not related to a stunt. Goodman reportedly injured his hip but is already on the mend and is expected to resume shooting next week.
The Film & Star-Studded Cast
Goodman is currently working on an untitled film directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu, a four-time Academy Award-winning filmmaker. The project boasts an impressive cast, including Tom Cruise, Jesse Plemons, Michael Stuhlbarg, Sandra Hüller, and Riz Ahmed.
The movie’s plot, as per IMDb, follows “the most powerful man in the world who causes a disaster and embarks on a mission to prove that he is the savior of humanity.”
A Tough Year for John Goodman
This injury is the latest challenge for Goodman, who had to skip the 50th ‘SNL’ anniversary show due to his filming commitments. Additionally, he lost his home in the devastating Pacific Palisades wildfire in January, alongside other Hollywood stars like Eugene Levy, Billy Crystal, and Mandy Moore.
Hope for a Speedy Recovery
Despite the setback, Goodman’s injury is not severe, and Warner Bros. Pictures confirmed that he is expected to recover soon. Fans will no doubt be relieved to hear that he is doing well and will return to work next week.
Wishing him a speedy recovery!
