Suge Knight has reignited his longstanding feud with Snoop Dogg, once again questioning the legitimacy of Snoop’s 2022 purchase of Death Row Records and taking aim at the rapper’s leadership of the iconic label.

In a candid interview with The Art of Dialogue, Knight responded to Snoop’s recent comments about Knight’s alleged involvement in Tupac Shakur’s 1996 murder, dismissing them as distractions from the real issue. Knight accused Snoop of misrepresenting the circumstances surrounding the acquisition of Death Row and claimed that under Snoop’s leadership, the label’s legacy has suffered.

Suge Knight Demands Proof of Death Row Purchase

Knight was direct in his critique, challenging Snoop Dogg to provide proof of payment for Death Row. “Snoop, you said I’m mad because you bought Death Row,” Knight remarked. “What did you buy? Show me proof of payment. Show me the paperwork. Show me what you actually own.” Knight’s comments were sharp, suggesting that Snoop’s claims of owning the label may not be as legitimate as they appear.

Knight also criticized Snoop’s ability to revive the label’s once-legendary presence in hip-hop. “You’re trying to recreate what I built, but instead of elevating it, you’ve disappointed the world with flops,” Knight said, referring to Snoop’s efforts to restore Death Row to its former glory after acquiring it from MNRK Music Group in 2022. Knight’s remarks were pointed, underscoring his belief that Snoop’s leadership has failed to live up to the label’s once-dominant stature.

Knight Reflects on Death Row’s Legacy

Reflecting on Death Row’s heyday, Knight contrasted his leadership with Snoop’s, referencing the success of iconic acts like Tha Dogg Pound, which sold millions of albums under his tenure. “When I dropped Tha Dogg Pound, they moved records,” Knight noted. “You dropped a Dogg Pound album, and it flopped. You and Dre said you made the best album of your lives—we couldn’t tell because it disappeared overnight.”

While Snoop has positioned himself as the savior of Death Row, attempting to restore the label’s influence in the industry, Knight remains unconvinced. His criticisms focus on the lack of major successes under Snoop’s leadership, calling into question the label’s ability to return to its previous prominence in the music world.

Snoop Dogg Responds to Knight’s Criticism

Snoop Dogg, for his part, has largely dismissed Knight’s comments as bitter ramblings. On social media, he mocked Knight’s claims, writing, “This n#### won’t stop talking about me. Mad cuz I own Death Row. I realize your real lies.” The ongoing back-and-forth between the two former Death Row figures shows no signs of letting up.

Allegations of Financial Backing and Tupac’s Murder

Knight escalated the feud further by making unverified claims about Snoop’s involvement in the 1996 murder of Tupac Shakur. According to Knight, Ray J once told him that Snoop admitted to financially backing Tupac’s murder. He also alleged that Snoop tried to bail out Duane “Keefe D” Davis, the man now charged in connection with the murder. However, these allegations remain unproven and have not been substantiated.

As the feud between these two hip-hop moguls intensifies, it remains to be seen whether Snoop will address Knight’s latest accusations or whether the public will continue to speculate about the truth behind the drama. Despite the tensions, both Knight and Snoop remain central figures in the ongoing conversation about Death Row’s legacy and influence in hip-hop.
