The heartbreaking news was confirmed by his wife, Cori Sperbeck, and the entire Sperbeck family, who released a statement through TMZ:
“We are deeply saddened to share the passing of our beloved Jeff Sperbeck. He was a wonderful father, husband, brother, son, and friend to many and will be profoundly missed by all.”
The family added:
“We are grieving this unimaginable loss alongside our dearest friends, the Elways, and the many other clients Jeff called friends. We are grateful for the overwhelming outpouring of support we have received and kindly ask for privacy during this difficult time.”
The Tragic Accident
According to TMZ Sports, the incident occurred Saturday evening around 7 PM. John Elway, a Pro Football Hall of Famer, was reportedly driving a golf cart carrying family and friends when Sperbeck fell from the vehicle, striking his head on the pavement and suffering a traumatic brain injury.
Elway immediately called 911, and Sperbeck was rushed to the hospital. Despite emergency medical efforts, his injuries proved too severe. He was kept on life support until his organs could be donated, and was officially pronounced dead at 1:10 AM on Wednesday morning.
John Elway’s Heartfelt Tribute
Following the tragic loss, John Elway issued an emotional public statement:
“I am absolutely devastated and heartbroken by the passing of my close friend, business partner, and agent Jeff Sperbeck. There are no words to truly express the profound sadness I feel with the sudden loss of someone who has meant so much to me.”
He continued:
“My heart and deepest sympathies go out to Jeff’s wife, Cori; his children Carly, Sam, and Jackson; and everyone who knew and loved him. Jeff will be deeply missed for the loyalty, wisdom, friendship, and love he brought into my life and the lives of so many others.”

Although police were not immediately involved at the scene, law enforcement is now actively investigating the fatal incident to determine whether any additional steps need to be taken.
