Kevin Hart kicked off the 2025 BET Awards with a fiery monologue that left the audience at the Peacock Theater in stitches—and a few celebrities slightly scorched.
Serving as the host for this year’s event on Monday, June 9, the comedian wasted no time diving into the headlines with a mix of comedy and controversy.
“It’s Kanye—Don’t Let Him In!”
Midway through his monologue, Hart dramatically pulled out his phone and pretended to receive a text from Kanye West.
“Oh sh*t, it’s Kanye,” he exclaimed. “Yep, he says he’s out front, waiting for someone to invite him in.”
With perfect comedic timing, Hart followed up with a zinger referencing Kanye’s recent performance antics in “Vultures: The Movie”, in which he allegedly bit Playboi Carti.

Taking a sly jab at Diddy’s alleged wild afterparties, Hart continued:
“That’s where sh*t gets slippery—at them goddamn afterparties. We’re learning a lot about people, ain’t we?”
Cardi B and Stefon Diggs: No Boats, No Pink Stuff
Even Cardi B and her boyfriend Stefon Diggs weren’t spared. The couple is under scrutiny after a viral video showed Diggs holding a mysterious pink substance while aboard a yacht.
“No yachts, no boats. Cardi B, no pink stuff—what the f**k? None of that stuff,” Hart joked. “Everybody’s gonna get hit tonight. We’re live. It’s gonna be a good time.”
