Linda Hogan is putting heartbreak and family feuds aside to remember her late ex-husband, Hulk Hogan, on what would have been his 72nd birthday — and her words are both tender and bittersweet.
The former wrestling wife — married to the WWE legend for 26 years — took to Instagram Monday with a rare throwback from 1981, capturing the couple in their early dating days, wrapped in each other’s arms and smiling for the camera.
“Me and Hulkster .. 1981. Happy Birthday Terry .. I love and miss you so much ..,” Linda wrote, using Hulk’s real name in her tribute.
Linda told The Pop Radar the memory was extra special because it was their very first birthday together as a couple — celebrated in Santa Monica while testing out a brand-new Canon camera Hulk had just gifted her.
The heartfelt post comes after a turbulent year for the Hogan family. Back in March, Linda broke down in tears on social media, calling her family situation “the worst mess” and placing some blame on Hulk. She later softened her stance, acknowledging that, despite his flaws, he was a devoted father who “stopped at nothing” to take care of his kids.
Hulk Hogan — born Terry Bollea — died suddenly on July 24 from a heart attack, according to Pinellas County Forensic Science Center records. His passing sent shockwaves through the wrestling world, with tributes pouring in from fans, friends, and former colleagues.
For daughter Brooke Hogan, the loss has been complicated. She recently joined TMZ Live to shut down what she called “false stories” about her dad, saying she wanted the truth to be heard.
Hulk may be gone, but for Linda, the love they once shared — and the memories from those early years — will always remain.
