Offset is finally owning up to the mistakes that cost him his marriage to Cardi B — while also leaving the door open for a Migos reunion with Quavo in honor of their late cousin Takeoff.
The Atlanta rapper sat down with Ebro Darden on The Ebro Show (Apple Music 1), where he reflected on one of the most scrutinized celebrity breakups of the decade.
When Ebro bluntly told him, “You’re fcking up,”* Offset didn’t deny it. Instead, he admitted, “I fcked up… just being real.”*
The “Ric Flair Drip” hitmaker went on to explain that the split has forced him into self-reflection:
“I gotta acknowledge that and get back on the journey,” he said, hinting that he’s focused on growth and moving forward.
Cardi Has Moved On — And So Has Offset
Offset and Cardi B’s rollercoaster romance first made headlines back in 2017. They secretly tied the knot that year, only to face multiple cheating scandals, messy social media spats, and even temporary breakups along the way.
In July 2024, Cardi officially filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. Since then, the Grammy winner has seemingly found happiness again — going public with her new relationship with NFL star Stephon Diggs.
Offset, meanwhile, has been linked to Instagram model Melanie Jayda, though neither has confirmed the seriousness of the relationship.
Could Offset and Quavo Drop a Takeoff Tribute Album?
Beyond his personal life, Offset also addressed the possibility of making music with Quavo again — a subject that immediately stirred buzz among Migos fans.
“It’s possible,” Offset told Ebro when asked about a potential Takeoff tribute album. “It’s [definitely] possible. No conversations about that tho’, but it’s possible.”
For now, he says both cousins are locked in on their solo careers but still make time to check in with each other. “We just building us first, [and] like checking in with each other and see each other world, like, ‘You good? You good?’”
From Family Feud to Family First
Offset and Quavo’s relationship has been rocky since 2022, when rumors swirled that Offset hooked up with Quavo’s then-girlfriend Saweetie. The drama reportedly contributed to Migos’ split and boiled over after Takeoff’s tragic death in November 2022.
Things got even more heated at the 2023 Grammys, when the cousins allegedly clashed backstage over how Takeoff’s tribute should be handled.
But in recent months, the tension appears to have cooled. Offset revealed that he and Quavo now talk at least once a week.
“That’s family at the end of the day,” he shared on the 7 PM in Brooklyn podcast. “You’re gonna bump heads with your family sometime. At the end of the day, a na ain’t finna play with him, or a na ain’t finna play with me.”
What’s Next for Offset?
With his solo album Kiari on the way, Offset is focused on carving out his own legacy while still holding space for a possible Migos-inspired project.
Between taking accountability for his past mistakes with Cardi and mending fences with Quavo, the rapper seems determined to step into his next chapter with clarity — and fans are watching closely.
