Ugandan music icon Bebe Cool has disclosed that political reasons forced him to transfer his son, Alpha Thierry Ssali, from Express FC to NEC FC.
The Gagamel boss hinted at a hidden controversy surrounding the switch, stating that if he ever speaks out about the real reasons, Ugandans would turn against a certain individual—whose name he deliberately withheld.
“You Hate a Child for Political Reasons?”
Expressing his disappointment, Bebe Cool questioned why his son, a young and innocent footballer, would be subjected to unfair treatment because of his father’s political affiliations.
“The truth is, the day I will open up about why I switched Alpha from Express FC, Ugandans will hate one man,” he said.
“You hate a child for political reasons, yet he is working hard to build a future in football and live a better life?”
Bebe Cool also reflected on how public scrutiny and political bias have negatively affected his family, noting that his children have endured humiliation but have developed the resilience needed to thrive without his direct support.
“If it were music, where I have influence, it would be okay. Just like how some people attacked my son Allan Hendrick until he gave up.”
Despite these challenges, Bebe Cool remains determined to support his son’s football career, emphasizing that his family’s journey will be an inspiring story for future generations.
