Beyoncé has officially made history as the most RIAA-certified female artist of all time, with an impressive 103 certified titles spanning her iconic discography, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) announced on Tuesday.
RIAA President and COO Michele Ballantyne praised Beyoncé’s achievement, stating:
“We are so excited to recognize the incredible talent, hard work, and creative spirit reflected across diverse genres. Beyoncé’s iconic catalog has earned the achievement of most certified titles for a female artist in RIAA’s history. Congratulations on this crowning milestone, Beyoncé, Parkwood Entertainment, Columbia Records — and we see you, BeyHive, streaming on repeat!”
The RIAA Gold & Platinum Awards Program, launched in 1958, remains the music industry’s ultimate measure of commercial success. It introduced the iconic Gold Record for 500,000 units sold, later expanding to recognize Platinum (1,000,000), Multi-Platinum (2,000,000+), and Diamond (10,000,000+) milestones.
Beyoncé’s legendary achievements include:
- 2x Platinum for “Renaissance”
- 4x Platinum for “Lemonade”
- 7x Platinum for “I Am… Sasha Fierce” and “Dangerously In Love”.
Her platinum singles, ranging from “Me, Myself and I” to the global hit “Formation”, further cement her status as a pop culture icon.
Beyoncé’s influence reached new heights in March 2024 with the release of her 11-time Grammy-nominated album, “Cowboy Carter”. The 27-track record is the most Grammy-nominated album by a female artist to date, earning nods in major categories like Record of the Year (“Texas Hold ‘Em”) and Album of the Year. Standout tracks such as “Bodyguard”, “Leviis Jeans” featuring Post Malone, “Spaghetti” with Linda Martell and Shaboozey, and “16 Carriages” continue to showcase Beyoncé’s genre-defying artistry.
With this historic milestone, Beyoncé reaffirms her position as one of the greatest artists of all time, breaking records and captivating audiences worldwide.
