Beyoncé Pledges $500K to Beauty Pros with Relaunch of Cécred x BeyGOOD Fund
Beyoncé Knowles-Carter is using her platform—and her passion for beauty—to create real change.
The global icon just announced the 2025 relaunch of the Cécred x BeyGOOD Fund, an initiative aimed at uplifting salon owners, barbers, and aspiring beauty professionals across the U.S. This time, Queen Bey is putting $500,000 on the table to fuel the dreams and businesses of those who keep communities beautiful—literally.
Grants for Struggling Salons and Barbershops
Of the total fund, $370,000 will be awarded as $10,000 grants to 37 salon and barbershop owners who are facing financial challenges, like rising rent or equipment costs. The best part? These are no-strings-attached grants, not loans—meaning recipients don’t have to pay a dime back.
Deadline to apply: June 13, 2025
Applicants must:
- Be licensed beauty professionals
- Have at least two years of experience
- Provide proof of ownership or a lease
- Show financial hardship
Applications are open nationwide and available via the official Cécred x BeyGOOD Grant page.
More Than Just Money: Mentorship & Growth Tools
What makes this fund even more powerful is that everyone who applies wins in some way. In partnership with the National Minority Supplier Development Council, the program offers:
- Business coaching
- Mentorship
- Help with Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) certification
Even if applicants aren’t selected for a cash grant, 40% will still receive group coaching and professional development support.
Tina Knowles Brings Her Salon Roots to the Table
This project is especially personal for Beyoncé and her family.
Tina Knowles, Beyoncé’s mother and Vice Chair of Cécred, helped shape the mission using her firsthand experience as a salon owner. “Salons are more than beauty,” Tina says. “They’re spaces of pride, identity, and entrepreneurship, especially in Black communities.”
This initiative honors that legacy by ensuring stylists and barbers can not only survive—but thrive.
Scholarships for the Next Generation
The fund doesn’t stop with established professionals. $130,000 is earmarked for cosmetology school scholarships across five institutions known for inclusive and high-quality training.
For many aspiring stylists, these scholarships remove a huge barrier to entry, allowing them to focus on their craft—not their finances.
Beyoncé’s Mission: Beauty with a Purpose
Through her Cécred haircare brand and the BeyGOOD Foundation, Beyoncé is sending a powerful message: beauty isn’t just skin deep—it’s economic, cultural, and transformative.
In an industry that has long been underfunded and overlooked, especially in communities of color, this fund is a lifeline. It’s a celebration of the unsung heroes of beauty culture and a meaningful way to pay it forward.
And while it’s philanthropy, it’s also personal. Beyoncé is giving back to the very people and places that helped shape her identity—proving once again that her influence is as deep as her roots.
Social Media Erupts with Support
Stylists, barbers, beauty schools, and fans have taken to social media with heartfelt thanks and messages of hope. The hashtag #CécredxBeyGOOD is trending, with many encouraging friends to apply before the June 13 deadline.
As one fan tweeted:
“Beyoncé doesn’t just drop albums—she drops blessings. Salons matter. Stylists matter. This is the definition of using your platform for good.”
