BLACKPINK’s Jennie has officially made her mark as a solo artist with the release of “Ruby,” her highly anticipated debut album. The 29-year-old K-pop sensation is the last of the four BLACKPINK members to drop a solo project, and she’s pulling out all the stops to make it unforgettable.
A-List Collaborations & Exclusive Visuals
“Ruby” boasts an impressive 15-track lineup featuring collaborations with global superstars like Dua Lipa, Childish Gambino, Dominic Fike, and Doechii. Jennie gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at her work with Dua Lipa, sharing snaps from what appears to be the music video set for their song, “Handlebars.”
She also teased visuals from other tracks, including “ExtraL” and “Love Hangover,” which features actor Charles Melton in a cinematic co-starring role.
Celebratory Performance in Los Angeles
To commemorate her solo debut, Jennie hosted an intimate performance at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, with another encore show scheduled for Friday night. Adding a personal touch to the occasion, she even had custom ‘Ruby Jane’ nails done for her album photoshoot.
A Deeply Personal Project
Jennie has emphasized that “Ruby” is her most personal work yet, offering fans an unfiltered glimpse into her life. She admitted that she was making last-minute changes to the album right before its submission—ensuring every detail was exactly as she envisioned.
“Ruby” follows the solo projects of her fellow BLACKPINK members—Rosé’s “rosie,” Jisoo’s “Amortage,” and Lisa’s “Alter Ego”—which all dropped in the past three months.
The album is now available on all streaming platforms—so happy listening, BLINKs!
