Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have every reason to smile — because their legal nightmare is officially over. The Hollywood power couple was spotted enjoying a sunny stroll in NYC Thursday, just days after scoring a major legal victory in a headline-making defamation case.
Spotted: Victory Looks Good on Them
In candid snaps, the couple looked totally at ease, pushing their youngest child in a stroller. Blake stunned in a pastel vest and denim shorts, while Ryan kept it cool in a denim jacket and casual pants. The two were clearly in good spirits — and it’s no mystery why.
$400 Million Lawsuit Tossed Out
Just this week, a judge dismissed a $400 million lawsuit filed by Justin Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios, as well as Baldoni’s separate $250M defamation suit against The New York Times.
The actor/director accused Blake and Ryan of participating in a smear campaign linked to drama on the set of It Ends With Us, including a bombshell civil rights complaint Blake filed earlier this year. Baldoni claimed the Times twisted facts — but the judge ruled otherwise.
According to court documents filed Monday, the judge sided with the Times and Blake, concluding the outlet accurately reported on Blake’s complaint and found no evidence of malicious intent or factual distortion.
Hollywood Drama Ends With Relief
The defamation saga stemmed from explosive tensions behind the scenes of It Ends With Us, in which Baldoni served as producer and director. Blake’s civil rights complaint reportedly detailed hostile conditions during filming — claims Baldoni denied, calling the media coverage “an orchestrated attack.”
But with the judge tossing the case, it looks like Blake and Ryan can officially leave the courtroom drama behind — and judging by their happy NYC outing, they’re doing exactly that.
