Cassanova Abbey Seeks Bobi Wine’s Support for Kisenyi Charity: ‘I Need Food Donations for 300 Kids’
Cassanova Abbey, the renowned singer-songwriter and guitarist, is reaching out to his former boss and musical partner Bobi Wine, requesting assistance for the charity organization he runs in Kisenyi, a neighborhood in Kampala. Abbey, who has been working tirelessly to uplift the lives of street children, is asking for food support to continue his mission of feeding and counseling vulnerable youth.
A Mission of Hope: Cassanova Abbey’s Charity in Kisenyi
Cassanova Abbey, best known for his hit song “Sembela,” has long been dedicated to giving back to the community, especially to the youth of Kisenyi. His charity foundation, which he started and officially registered, serves as a beacon of hope for struggling children in the area. Every weekend, he provides meals for approximately 300 street children, ensuring they have a hot meal to eat while offering much-needed emotional support.
Speaking about the foundation’s work, Abbey explained, “Every Saturday, I spend time with almost 300 children. We cook food, share a meal, and I also invite counselors who come through to counsel them. I started this foundation with the aim of uplifting and giving hope to these young people who face challenges every day.”
Abbey’s charity work doesn’t end with just providing food; he also takes time to train artists, helping them improve their live performances and guitar skills. His commitment to both the arts and social causes has made him a well-respected figure in Uganda’s entertainment and charity circles.
The Need for Support: Cassanova Abbey’s Request for Bobi Wine’s Help
As a longtime associate of Bobi Wine, Abbey hopes that the former Eagles Production member will lend a hand to his charity by providing food supplies. In his heartfelt request, Abbey expressed his gratitude and appreciation for any kind of support that could help sustain his work in Kisenyi.
“I don’t have anything specific to tell Bobi Wine right now, but when he needs me, I will not hesitate to help him because he is my boss. But at this moment, I am running a foundation in Kisenyi, and I need support,” Abbey shared.
Abbey outlined his specific needs, emphasizing that food items like posho (maize meal), beans, rice, cooking oil, and other basic staples would go a long way in helping him continue his mission. “I really need food support. Anything Bobi Wine can send, I will be more than appreciative,” he added.
Cassanova Abbey’s Dedication to the Community: More Than Just a Musician
Beyond his music career, Cassanova Abbey has committed himself to the betterment of his community. His foundation is an essential part of his life, and he has been passionate about providing a safe space for children in need. The initiative aims not only to feed the children but also to offer them a chance to open up and receive counseling—helping them deal with the emotional and psychological challenges they face as street children.
“I spend every Saturday with these children, cooking and eating together. It’s a bond I have formed with them,” Abbey said. “It’s about giving them a sense of belonging, and if Bobi Wine can support us with food donations, it will be a huge blessing.”
Abbey’s work also includes training other aspiring musicians, offering them the tools they need to develop their talents and improve their live performances. His love for music and his community work go hand in hand, as he continually seeks ways to inspire both through his art and charitable actions.
