Chopper’s Revelations on “The Art of Dialogue Podcast”
Former Da Band rapper Chopper, also known as Young City, made some explosive claims in his return to The Art of Dialogue Podcast. He alleged that fellow Da Band member Sara Rivers, formerly known as Sara Storkes, had an affair with their mentor Sean “Diddy” Combs and another groupmate, Freddy P. These revelations came after Sara appeared in the Peacock documentary Diddy: The Making of A Bad Boy, where she accused Diddy of inappropriate behavior and making threats toward Da Band members.
Sara’s Claims in the Documentary
In the documentary, Sara Rivers opened up about her experience with Diddy, claiming he had touched her inappropriately and intimidated her during the taping of Making The Band 2. She described feeling uncomfortable and nervous around Diddy, especially when cameras weren’t present. “I didn’t want to be around him unless there were cameras,” Sara told L.A. Times. “He touched me in a place that he shouldn’t have. That was inappropriate, and I felt intimidated.”
Chopper Disputes Sara’s Allegations
Chopper, however, disputes Sara’s claims, asserting that Sara wasn’t being entirely truthful about her relationship with Diddy. He claimed that, during the filming of Making The Band 2, Diddy would often visit the penthouse at late hours, around 3-4 a.m., and take Sara with him. Chopper alleges that Sara would return hours later with disheveled hair, smeared makeup, and an appearance that suggested she had been intimate with Diddy.
“I don’t think that it’s true that that man [Diddy] violated her. I think that she was ‘ecstatic,’ she was bucked-up, and she couldn’t wait to f*ck him,” Chopper said, expressing his opinion based on what he witnessed.
The Rumors Around Sara and Diddy
Chopper continued, claiming that the romance between Sara and Diddy wasn’t a secret within the Bad Boy Records circle. He mentioned that “everybody used to talk about Sara f*ckin’ Diddy, anyway, around the Bad Boy office,” suggesting that it was well-known. According to Chopper, Sara was not a victim but was willingly involved with Diddy.
Freddy P’s Involvement in the Love Triangle
In addition to the accusations against Diddy, Chopper revealed that Sara had a secret romance with Da Band member Freddy P. Chopper explained how he discovered this secret while staying at a hotel in New York City. According to Chopper, Freddy P had set up a bet where he would leave the latch on the hotel room door open to allow Chopper to walk in. When Chopper entered the room, he allegedly caught Sara and Freddy P in a compromising position. Chopper described the scene, claiming that Sara was involved in an intimate moment with Freddy P, with the groupmate looking at him while sucking his thumb.
Freddy P’s Reaction to Diddy’s Relationship with Sara
Chopper also mentioned that Freddy P had feelings for Sara but was unable to act on them because Sara was married during the filming of Making The Band 2. However, things changed when Diddy began his affair with Sara, which reportedly upset Freddy P. Chopper stated, “When Diddy start knocking her down, Fred wasn’t feelin that sht. So that was the end of the Fred and Sara era when Diddy started fckin her.”
Chopper’s Final Thoughts on Sara and Diddy’s Relationship
Chopper concluded his remarks by reinforcing his belief that Sara and Diddy’s relationship was consensual. He expressed that Sara had not been violated but had actively participated in the romance, asserting that she was “happy” with the situation.
The Ginuwine Speculation
Additionally, Chopper hinted that another well-known artist, Ginuwine, may have had a relationship with Sara during the Making The Band era, although he didn’t confirm this speculation.
Unanswered Questions and Silence from Sara, Freddy P, and Diddy
At the time of publication, neither Sara Rivers, Freddy P, nor Diddy had commented on Chopper’s allegations. Diddy, who is currently detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, is awaiting trial in May 2025 on separate charges.
Da Band’s Legacy and Ongoing Controversies
Da Band, formed by Diddy on the MTV reality show Making The Band in 2002, was a five-member group that included rappers E. Ness, Babs, Dylan, Freddy P, Young City, and singer Sara Rivers. Although the group’s debut album was released in 2003, Da Band disbanded in 2004, and its members have since been involved in various controversies.
