Rapper and YouTuber DDG has filed an emergency motion in court to prevent Halle Bailey from traveling internationally with their infant son, Halo, claiming the trip poses serious emotional and psychological risks to the child. The urgent filing comes just days before Halle’s reported planned trip to Italy this Saturday, according to TMZ.
Allegations of Instability and Emotional Distress
In his legal documents, DDG accuses Halle of being in an unstable mental state that makes her unfit to travel alone with their child. He cites several incidents to back up his claim, including a troubling moment when Halle allegedly took his firearm while pregnant and was later found holding it outside, without notifying him of her whereabouts.
He also alleges that Halle considered an abortion without informing him, and that she sent disturbing messages two months after Halo’s birth, suggesting she might harm herself and potentially the baby.
Abuse Allegations From Both Sides
These accusations follow Halle Bailey’s previous claims that DDG was physically abusive. She alleged he slammed her face into a steering wheel, resulting in a chipped tooth. DDG, however, denies those claims and offers his own version of events, alleging Halle attacked him during a custody handoff and accidentally hit her head during the confrontation.
DDG also submitted photos of a deep cut on his hand, which he claims Halle inflicted during an altercation.
Seeking Sole Custody and Supervised Exchanges
DDG is not only requesting the court to block international travel, but is also seeking sole custody of Halo. If sole custody is not granted, he wants a neutral third party to supervise all custody exchanges going forward.
What’s Next?
A court hearing is expected to be scheduled quickly due to the emergency nature of the request. The situation adds a tense legal twist to the former couple’s already volatile dynamic, and it remains unclear whether Halle Bailey will respond publicly or legally before the upcoming trip.
