Sean “Diddy” Combs is in deeper legal trouble as federal prosecutors have just filed a third superseding indictment, adding two new criminal charges to his already growing federal case in New York.
According to newly obtained legal documents by TMZ, the music mogul is now facing additional charges for:
- Sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and
- Transportation to engage in prostitution
These new allegations span from 2021 to 2024 and center around a previously unnamed individual referred to in court filings as “Victim-2.”
Diddy’s Legal Team Fires Back
In response to the latest indictment, Diddy’s legal representatives tell TMZ:
“These are not new allegations or new accusers. These are the same individuals, former long-term girlfriends, who were involved in consensual relationships. This was their private sex life, defined by consent, not coercion.”
Diddy’s team continues to maintain that the charges stem from consensual activity and accuse prosecutors of rehashing old allegations to strengthen their case.
Charges Continue to Mount
With this third indictment, Diddy now faces a total of five federal charges:
- 2 counts of sex trafficking
- 2 counts of transportation to engage in prostitution
- 1 count of racketeering
Earlier indictments already identified another accuser known as “Victim-1,” widely believed to be singer and former girlfriend Cassie, though she has not been formally named in the case.
Trial Date Set
Despite the expanding scope of the investigation, Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all charges. His federal trial is currently scheduled to begin on May 5, 2025, in New York.
Background and Fallout
These charges come amid growing scrutiny of the Bad Boy Records founder, whose reputation has been marred by numerous lawsuits, abuse allegations, and federal raids on his properties. The escalating legal battle has caused ripples across the entertainment industry, with several of Diddy’s business partnerships and appearances coming under review or being suspended.
TMZ has reached out to Diddy’s representatives for further comment, but has not yet received a response.
