Explosive testimony from a former hotel security supervisor reveals how music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs allegedly tried to suppress damning footage of an altercation with ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura — offering $100,000 in cash to make it disappear.
As week three of Diddy’s bombshell federal racketeering and sex trafficking trial kicks off in New York City, shocking new allegations surfaced in court that could mark a major turning point in the case.
On the 15th day of testimony, prosecutors called Eddy Garcia, a former security supervisor at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles, to the stand. Garcia worked at the site where the now-infamous Cassie assault video was recorded in March 2016 — footage that has become a key piece of evidence in the government’s case.
“It Was Bad” – Garcia Details Watching Diddy on Security Footage
Under questioning, Garcia recounted the moment he reviewed the hotel’s security feeds during the week of March 10, 2016. He said he recognized Diddy on the screen and later learned the woman involved was Cassie Ventura, Diddy’s then-girlfriend.
“I saw the incident on video. It was bad,” Garcia testified.
Despite the severity of what he saw, Garcia explained that law enforcement was never called because Cassie did not request police involvement at the time. What followed, however, reads like something out of a Hollywood thriller.
The Call from Diddy’s Inner Circle
Garcia said shortly after the incident, he received a phone call from Kristina Khorram, who was Diddy’s chief of staff at the time. The number was from a New York area code. According to Garcia, Khorram asked about the surveillance footage and claimed Diddy had been intoxicated and had no recollection of what had occurred.
That claim triggered immediate objection from Diddy’s legal team, which the judge sustained — but the court had already heard it.
Diddy Himself Gets Involved
Garcia says Khorram later showed up in the hotel lobby, aggressively seeking the footage. Garcia refused to hand anything over, telling her to speak to management or go through legal channels like a subpoena.
Things escalated quickly.
Garcia says Khorram called again — and this time, Diddy was on the line. The hip-hop mogul allegedly asked Garcia directly for the video and pleaded with him, warning, “That video could ruin my career.”
Garcia recalled Diddy speaking quickly, nervously, and persistently — even offering to “take care of him,” which Garcia interpreted as a bribe.
The $50K Offer Turns Into a $100K Payout
According to Garcia, he then spoke with his own supervisor, Bill Medrano, who shockingly said he would retrieve the video for $50,000. Garcia relayed this to Khorram, who again patched in Diddy.
Diddy allegedly called Garcia his “angel” and wanted to seal the deal immediately.
Medrano later handed Garcia a USB drive with the video after retrieving it from the hotel server. Garcia testified that they arranged to meet Diddy at a high-rise building in West L.A.
There, Diddy reportedly asked if it was the only copy and confirmed it wasn’t backed up to the cloud. Diddy allegedly FaceTimed Cassie, who confirmed she didn’t want the footage made public, citing a movie release on the horizon.
NDAs, Fake IDs, and the $100K Cash Drop
Garcia says Diddy asked for the IDs of everyone involved in retrieving or viewing the footage. Since not all parties were comfortable being identified, Garcia claims they used IDs from other security officers to keep things quiet.
They also signed NDAs with liquidated damages set at $1 million.
Then came the alleged payment.
“Diddy was feeding hundred-dollar bills into a counting machine,” Garcia said. The total? $100,000.
The money — stuffed in a paper bag — was split up: $50K to Medrano, $20K to another officer, and Garcia himself kept the rest. At the time, he says, he was making just $10.50 an hour working security.
He used part of the cash to buy a used car outright.
Later Contact and Regret
Garcia testified that Diddy later reached out to wish him a Happy Easter. Years later, Garcia even messaged him on Instagram looking for work, but never received a response.
Garcia says he eventually saw the Cassie assault video resurface in the news and realized it had leaked despite the elaborate cover-up.
“I deleted everything related to it. I didn’t want to be involved,” he said.
When law enforcement finally contacted him, he admitted he didn’t tell the truth initially — simply wanting to avoid being entangled in the growing storm around Combs.
The Fallout and What’s Next
Diddy, whose career once stood atop the worlds of music, fashion, and business, now finds himself buried under a mountain of allegations — not just from Cassie, but from several others accusing him of violent abuse, trafficking, and coercion.
The video Garcia described has become one of the most damning pieces of evidence against Diddy in the case.
With multiple eyewitnesses, cash trails, and non-disclosure agreements, the prosecution is painting a picture of a man who systematically silenced accusers to protect his empire.
What remains to be seen is whether this star-studded trial — filled with explosive testimony — will end in justice, or more buried secrets.
What Happens Now?
With Eddy Garcia’s testimony now part of the court record, and several others confirming similar stories, Diddy’s defense team faces growing pressure.
