Fans of rising rap sensation Doechii were left in shock this week as the artist unexpectedly pulled out of three major European music festivals, including two in the U.K. and one in Paris.
On Tuesday, August 19, Rock en Seine announced on social media that Doechii would no longer perform her scheduled set on Thursday, August 21. Mere hours later, All Points East Festival shared a similar notice, confirming that the rapper would not be performing on Saturday, August 23.
“She is an incredible artist, and, like all of her fans, we were hugely excited to see her on stage,” All Points East wrote.
Shortly after, the Forwards Bristol Festival posted that Doechii would also miss her performance there, scheduled for Sunday, August 24, describing the cancellation as “sadly announced.”
As of now, neither Doechii nor her team have provided an official explanation for these abrupt withdrawals, leaving fans anxious and confused.
Social Media Reacts
Fans immediately flooded Twitter and Instagram, expressing disappointment over the canceled shows. Hashtags like #DoechiiLive and #DoechiiFestival quickly trended as fans voiced frustration while hoping for a future rescheduling.
- “I flew all the way to London for Doechii, and now she’s canceled! 😭” one fan tweeted.
- “Doechii better give us an explanation ASAP,” another wrote, reflecting the growing concern in the music community.
Festival organizers also expressed regret over the cancellations, emphasizing Doechii’s talent and the excitement her performances generated.
Recent Legal Controversy May Be a Factor
Adding to the speculation, Doechii is currently named in a lawsuit tied to a booking dispute in the U.S. According to court documents, an Atlanta-based event company alleges it was scammed out of nearly $200,000 for a bogus booking deal involving Doechii and fellow artist SiR.
Blackout Management LLC claims it paid New Jersey agent Christopher Young $187,500 in December 2024 to secure performances for the AFRAM Festival in Baltimore. Young allegedly assured the company he had direct access to Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) artists, including Doechii.
By March 2025, Blackout said the situation unraveled, with Young citing “scheduling conflicts” for both acts. After months of unanswered questions, the company reached out to TDE directly and discovered that Doechii had never been officially booked. No contracts, promotional materials, or official documents were ever provided, and the deposit allegedly remained with Young and his business, Sacrifice Management LLC.
While it’s unclear whether this legal dispute directly contributed to the festival cancellations, the timing has fueled rumors online, leaving fans and industry insiders wondering if contractual or logistical issues played a role.

Doechii’s Career Momentum
Despite the recent setbacks, Doechii’s career continues to gain traction. She has recently announced that her next project will focus on “new lessons”, promising fresh material and artistic growth. Fans eagerly await updates on her upcoming releases, which could redefine her trajectory in the rap and R&B world.
Doechii also attended the 2025 Met Gala in May, further cementing her status as a rising star in the music industry. Her unique blend of rap, R&B, and genre-defying creativity has won her acclaim from both fans and critics alike.
What’s Next for Fans?
With three major European performances canceled and no official statement from Doechii, fans are left wondering whether rescheduled dates will be announced or if these cancellations signal broader issues in her management or booking team.
The music world is watching closely, and festival organizers are urging patience as they coordinate with the artist’s team.
For now, fans are encouraged to follow Doechii on social media for updates on rescheduled shows, new music, and official statements regarding the cancellations.
