The disappearance of 7-month-old Emmanuel Haro continues to grip California, as his mother, Rebecca Haro, maintains her kidnapping story from jail. Rebecca, one of the primary suspects in the case, spoke to reporters Sunday, insisting she had nothing to do with her baby’s vanishing.
According to Rebecca, Emmanuel was snatched from the parking lot of a Big 5 Sporting Goods store in Yucaipa, CA, a story she has repeated since his disappearance. Despite mounting evidence suggesting otherwise, she refuses to back down.

Refusing to Give Up Hope
Even though authorities have stated they believe Emmanuel is deceased, Rebecca emphasized she isn’t giving up on her child. She expressed a desire to assist investigators in any way she can, signaling her continued hope of finding Emmanuel alive.
“I just want my baby back,” Rebecca told reporters, her voice firm and emotional. “I’m willing to help however I can.”
Rebecca also denied reports claiming she asked Big 5 employees about surveillance footage days before officially reporting Emmanuel missing.
Jake Haro Joins the Search
Meanwhile, Rebecca’s husband, Jake Haro, who is also a suspect in Emmanuel’s alleged murder, was seen assisting investigators on Sunday in Moreno Valley, Riverside County, CA.
Dressed in an orange jail jumpsuit and shackles, Jake appeared to guide authorities through the mountainous terrain in hopes of locating Emmanuel. Unfortunately, their search yielded no results, and no body was found.

Arrests and Investigation Details
Both Rebecca and Jake Haro were arrested Friday on suspicion of murder. Following the arrests, authorities revealed that they believe the alleged kidnapping “did not occur.” This conclusion was based on extensive physical and electronic evidence, as well as interviews conducted during the investigation.
Prior to the arrests, investigators cited inconsistencies in Rebecca’s story as a reason they could not rule out foul play.
“Investigators had concerns about discrepancies in her account of events, which raised serious questions,” a law enforcement source said.
The Haros are currently being held without bail and are scheduled for their first court appearance on Tuesday.
