Ugandan General Muhoozi Kainerugaba has once again ignited controversy after making a series of striking statements about Kenyan men and women. His comments came in response to a Kenyan newspaper that placed him on its front page—a move that seemingly did not sit well with him.
Taking to his social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), the outspoken military general launched into a series of posts directed at Kenyans, making bold claims about their relationships and even hinting at an unexpected political ambition.
Muhoozi’s Claims About Kenyan Women and Men
In one of his more sensational statements, Muhoozi suggested that Kenyan women are enamored with him, implying dissatisfaction with their male counterparts.
“I think the problem has to do with the bedroom. Many Kenyan women are dreaming about me when their men are doing nonsense,” he posted.
Not stopping there, he went on to criticize Kenyan men’s physical appearance, making an unusual claim about their noses and how it allegedly relates to their abilities in intimate relationships.
“You can usually tell how well men shoot by the straightness of their noses. Kenyan men’s noses are all over the place. No wonder their women are frustrated,” he added.
These remarks quickly spread across social media, triggering an uproar among Kenyans, with many expressing their opinions on his statements. Some ridiculed his remarks, while others engaged in heated debates over the claims.
Muhoozi Hints at Running for Office in Kenya
Beyond his provocative comments about relationships, Muhoozi also made an unexpected revelation about his political ambitions. Despite being a Ugandan military figure, he declared his deep love for Kenya and suggested he might even consider running for a parliamentary seat in the country.
“Kenya is my homeland! I love it like crazy. No one will ostracize me from my homeland! Actually, I’m considering standing for Member of Parliament in Kenya!” he tweeted.
This statement left many questioning whether he was serious or simply making an offhand remark. The idea of a Ugandan general running for office in Kenya is an unusual proposition, given that he does not hold Kenyan citizenship. However, Muhoozi’s long-standing fascination with Kenya and his previous interactions with Kenyan leaders make his comments intriguing.
Mixed Reactions to Muhoozi’s Statements
Muhoozi’s comments have drawn mixed reactions from Kenyans and Ugandans alike. While some social media users dismissed his remarks as lighthearted banter, others took them more seriously, sparking intense discussions online.
Kenyan men, in particular, did not take kindly to his statements, with many pushing back against his claims. Some accused him of seeking unnecessary attention, while others turned the tables by making jokes about Ugandan leadership and military affairs.
On the other hand, some netizens found amusement in his statements, with a few Kenyan women playfully entertaining the idea of his admiration.
A Pattern of Social Media Controversies
This is not the first time General Muhoozi has made controversial remarks on social media. Over the years, he has built a reputation for sharing unfiltered opinions on various topics, including regional politics and international affairs. His bold and sometimes provocative tweets have often landed him in the headlines, both in Uganda and beyond.
In the past, he has made remarks about annexing parts of Kenya, openly supported certain political leaders, and even declared his ambitions of one day succeeding his father, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni.
