A night at Akron’s Field House Lounge took a violent and unexpected turn when gunshots rang out during Boosie Badazz’s performance, leaving three individuals injured, with two in critical condition. The shooting occurred in the early hours of Monday, causing panic and chaos among concertgoers, Cleveland 19 News reported.
The concert, which was packed with fans, came to a halt when gunfire broke out. Video footage from the scene shows Boosie mid-performance, dropping to the ground and swiftly fleeing the stage as the crowd scrambled for safety. Authorities revealed that off-duty officers, who had been working as security, immediately called for backup once the shots were fired.
Three Victims Injured, Two in Critical Condition
The victims of the shooting, whose identities have yet to be disclosed, include an 18-year-old and a 36-year-old man, both of whom were rushed to a local hospital in critical condition. A third victim, a 25-year-old male, sustained a minor gunshot wound and was treated on-site.
Reports suggest that the shooting may have been the result of a confrontation during the performance. However, no suspects have been named, and the investigation is ongoing. Boosie Badazz, who was on stage at the time of the incident, has not publicly commented on the situation.
A Pattern of Violence at Boosie Badazz Concerts
This latest incident is not the first time Boosie Badazz’s concerts have been marred by violence. In 2022, two men were fatally shot during one of his performances in Iowa. Following that tragedy, Boosie appeared to downplay the severity of the situation, stating on social media, “They just shut the concert down. I’ve been in the back a couple of hours waiting to perform and they just shut the concert down – I don’t know – some shit happened in the front.” He went on to reassure fans that the party would continue at another venue, adding, “We finna take it to Crush man.”
Back in 2017, a similar incident occurred while Boosie was performing in Gardena, California. During that show, a shooter opened fire, injuring two fans, though their wounds were not life-threatening.
As authorities continue to investigate the shooting in Akron, fans and supporters of Boosie Badazz remain shaken by the violent turn of events at what was supposed to be an exciting night of music. The rapper has yet to comment publicly on the incident, and it remains to be seen how this latest tragedy will affect his future performances.
