Jeremy Fall isn’t mincing words when it comes to President Donald Trump’s latest political flex — a full-blown military parade happening this Saturday, June 15, in Washington, D.C., to mark the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army … and, conveniently, Trump’s 79th birthday.
The celebrity chef and activist told TMZ on Friday that he believes the parade is nothing more than a “fear-mongering stunt” by Trump, who recently began his second term as the 47th President of the United States.
“The military is not his personal puppet show that he can just throw out whenever he wants when people disagree with him,” Fall said bluntly.
A Parade or a Power Play?
While the event is being marketed as a patriotic tribute to the Army, critics — including Fall — see it as a thinly veiled show of authoritarianism.
Fall warns that Trump is weaponizing patriotic imagery to intimidate dissenters and drown out criticism, especially as protests against his administration’s immigration policies and military deployments continue to sweep across major cities.
“Trump is trying to instill fear in people so they don’t speak up against him,” Fall added. “He wants this to be a dictatorship. He wants to take control of the country for his personal beliefs.”
Tensions High as Marines Deployed to L.A.
Just days before the parade, Trump sent 700 U.S. Marines to Los Angeles amid ongoing protests over his latest immigration crackdowns. The move was described by the White House as a “preventative measure,” but many critics — including Fall — see it as government overreach.
“The unrest was already there,” one protestor told local media. “Bringing in troops just escalates things and sends a dangerous message.”
Fall Urges Peaceful Protesters to Rise Up
Despite the fiery rhetoric, Fall is not calling for violence. In fact, he’s urging Americans to participate in legal, peaceful civil disobedience, especially during the nationwide “No Kings” rallies set for this weekend.
“People need to speak out. Protest. March. Show up. But do it peacefully. That’s the only way we win.”
The No Kings movement — a series of grassroots protests against perceived federal overreach and authoritarianism — has been gaining momentum on social media, and Fall wants his fans and fellow Americans to take a stand.
More Than Just a Chef
Known for his activism and unfiltered opinions, Fall has long used his platform to champion social justice, LGBTQ+ rights, and immigrant protections. He’s made it clear that silence — especially in moments like this — is not an option.
“This isn’t about left or right,” he added. “It’s about standing up to power when it’s misused.”
Trump’s Second Term Off to a Turbulent Start
Since winning re-election in 2024, President Trump has reignited major controversy by:
- Deploying military forces in response to civil unrest
- Reintroducing harsh immigration measures
- Calling critics “unpatriotic” for opposing military ceremonies like this weekend’s parade
Supporters see the parade as a celebration of American strength and history. But for many, it’s a worrying reminder of the rising tension between protestors and a president bent on controlling the narrative.
???? What’s Next for the Resistance?
With more than 100 “No Kings” rallies planned across the country — including in Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, and Chicago — this weekend could be a pivotal moment in the resistance movement.
Jeremy Fall’s call to action is clear:
“Don’t sit back. Don’t be silent. The moment you give in to fear, he wins.”
