Jermaine Dupri isn’t just a legendary producer—he’s also making history with his jaw-dropping spending at Atlanta’s infamous Magic City strip club.
On the latest episode of Joe and Jada, the So So Def founder gave fans an exclusive look into his wild nights and shared how he once set a new standard for cash showers that’s still talked about today.
“I used to throw the money up to the ceiling and let it shower the girls,” Dupri recalled with a grin.
“So, what other people are doing now, I used to do it specifically just to hit the ceiling because then the money would just splatter everywhere.”
Jermaine Dupri’s Legendary Ceiling Cash Showers
Dupri’s extravagant money moves weren’t just about flexing—he wanted to create a spectacle.
“I threw up a thousand dollars; the ceiling would make it fly all over the room. The money would stick to the ceiling, and the girls would stand with their feet on the couch and get their money back. I started that,” he bragged.
And that’s not all—he even revealed his all-time favorite Magic City dancer: Whyte Chocolate.
The producer’s antics and generosity helped cement Magic City’s reputation as the ultimate playground for hip-hop’s elite.
New Docuseries ‘Magic City: An American Fantasy’ Dives Deep
Last month, Dupri dropped the trailer for Magic City: An American Fantasy at the American Black Film Festival in Atlanta, setting the stage for a highly anticipated five-part docuseries airing this summer on Starz.
The series promises an intimate look at nearly four decades of Magic City’s influence on hip-hop, sports, and Black culture.
Big names like 2 Chainz, Nelly, Shaquille O’Neal, Quavo, Killer Mike, and Big Boi share their stories, painting a vivid picture of the club’s unparalleled impact.
“Magic City: An American Fantasy is a riveting behind-the-curtain look at one of the most unique places in Black culture,” said Kathryn Busby, Starz’s president of original programming.
“The docuseries’ unprecedented insider access and history unveiled from those who built its empire is a perfect complement to Starz’s slate of adult, culture-driving shows.”
