Jim Jones is back at it again, this time targeting Ma$e in an interview with XXL. When asked about Ma$e’s current place in hip-hop and his legacy, Jones didn’t hold back, taking aim at the rapper’s physical appearance.
Jones Criticizes Ma$e’s Health and Weight
“He needs to go on a diet,” Jones bluntly stated. “He needs to get his life together. He needs to go to the doctor and get a physical. He looks terrible.” Jones continued to critique Ma$e’s body, commenting, “N*gga look big around the neck, waist look crazy.” He even went as far as to say, “I’m body-shaming this n-gga. He need to go get his shit together, get on the treadmill, do some push-ups, do something, especially if you’re playing with me. You gonna need it.”
The remarks came as a harsh jab at the rapper, with Jones emphasizing the need for Ma$e to get in better shape if he intends to engage in any kind of confrontation with him.
Jim Jones Reflects on Ma$e’s Behavior Toward Cam’ron
This isn’t the first time Jones has called out Ma$e. In a previous interview on Justin Laboy’s Respectfully Podcast, Jones claimed that Ma$e had a falling out with Cam’ron after Ma$e found success as a solo artist. “I watched Ma$e shit on Cam and everybody around him. Like, all the time,” Jones alleged. “Cam was jumping out the window for him, which a friend should… But Ma$e had got that money and lost his motherf**king mind.”
Jones painted a picture of the bond between Cam’ron and Ma$e before Ma$e’s solo career took off, highlighting how Cam’ron went above and beyond to protect Ma$e, only for the rapper to seemingly lose touch with his old friends as his success grew.
Jones’ Solo Career Continues to Evolve
Despite the ongoing tensions with Ma$e and Cam’ron, Jim Jones is continuing to make waves in his own right. He recently released his first solo album in six years, At the Church Steps. The album, which serves as the sequel to his 2004 release On My Way To Church, has been well-received by fans and marks a significant chapter in Jones’ career.
