Lil Baby has broken his silence on being mentioned in Kendrick Lamar’s hit track “Not Like Us” from his Grammy-nominated album GNX. While not directly involved in the ongoing rivalry between Drake and Kendrick, the Atlanta rapper’s name surfaced in the lyrical sparring, leaving fans curious about his reaction.

Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” Bar

On “Not Like Us,” Kendrick raps:
“Let me break it down for you, this the real n**a challenge / You called Future when you didn’t see the club (Ayy, what?) / Lil Baby helped you get your lingo up (What?).”*

The line appears to reference Lil Baby’s influence on modern rap vernacular while indirectly tying him into the Drake-Kendrick rivalry.

Lil Baby’s Reaction

In a recent interview, Lil Baby addressed the mention with a mix of confusion and professionalism:
“I don’t really… You know. [Me and Drake have a] great relationship. Great relationship. It’s just with any situation, like, if you and him was arguing, why the hell you gon’ say me, you know? I don’t be having nothing to do with it.”

He continued:
“To me, like, rap and st be my work. It’s, like, I don’t want that type of st at work. Even with you saying, like, ‘What’s your relationship with Gunna?’ I ain’t in it for that type of s**t, you know what I’m saying? I ain’t on that.”

Lil Baby’s response underscores his preference to remain neutral, prioritizing his craft and relationships over publicized feuds.

Kendrick Lamar’s “GNX” and Snoop Dogg’s Response

Kendrick’s GNX album features additional high-profile name-drops, including one aimed at Snoop Dogg on the track “wacced out murals.”
“Snoop posted ‘Taylor Made,’ I prayed it was the edibles / I couldn’t believe it, it was only right for me to let it go,” Kendrick raps, referencing a past slight involving Snoop’s endorsement of Drake’s AI-generated diss track, “Taylor Made,” featuring vocals mimicking 2Pac.

Snoop took the bar in stride, responding on social media:
“K dot new album GNX! It was the edible! west west king..”

A Broader Conversation in Hip-Hop

The interplay between Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Lil Baby, and Snoop Dogg highlights the complex dynamics in contemporary hip-hop. While Kendrick and Drake’s rivalry continues to dominate headlines, artists like Lil Baby maintain a focus on their music, steering clear of unnecessary drama.

As fans dissect the lyrics and relationships, Kendrick’s ability to spark conversations through his storytelling and Lil Baby’s dedication to neutrality showcase the diverse approaches within the rap industry today.
