Renowned Ugandan media personality MC Kats, real name Edwin Katamba, has dismissed rumors suggesting that he is eyeing a political career following his recent remarks about NUP president Bobi Wine.
MC Kats came under fire after issuing a stern warning to Bobi Wine, threatening to reveal secrets he claims to have kept for nearly a decade. However, during an interview on Sanyuka TV, he set the record straight, stating that he has no intentions of joining politics as it is “not his calling.”
“I don’t have any interest in politics. Politics is not my calling, and I am not looking for an invite from President Museveni or Gen. Muhoozi to join them at State House. But if they are offering money, I can go and collect it. If I wanted to play propaganda, I could do it and get those offers.”
MC Kats clarified that his criticism of Bobi Wine was not a ploy to seek political favors but rather a wake-up call to NUP foot soldiers, who were recently seen conducting a military-style parade in celebration of Bobi Wine’s 43rd birthday.
The outspoken TV host further warned that he possesses damaging secrets about Bobi Wine and will expose them if NUP supporters continue to attack his family, children, and health status.
His remarks have sparked a heated debate online, with some questioning his motives while others back his stance against cyber harassment.
