Megan Thee Stallion is setting the record straight about those swirling Met Gala ban rumors—and she’s doing it in true Hot Girl fashion.

In a new interview with PEOPLE, the Houston-born rapper firmly denied speculation that she was barred from attending the prestigious fashion event by Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour.

“No. We’re gonna dead these rumors right now, okay?” Megan said. “People are like, ‘Oh my God, Megan, you got banned from the Met Gala.’ No, I didn’t, babe. That’s not true. Y’all made that up and ran with it. Anna [Wintour] loves me, babe. That’s why my phone was out.”

Her statement comes after online rumors suggested she had been blacklisted from the 2025 Met Gala due to filming inside the event—something that is famously prohibited. Megan clarified that she and Wintour are still on good terms and dismissed the gossip as pure fabrication.

Megan Thee Stallion Launches ‘Hot Girl Swim’ with Walmart

In more exciting news, Megan Thee Stallion has taken her entrepreneurial game to the next level by launching her very own swimwear brand, Hot Girl Swim, in partnership with Walmart.

The new collection features a vibrant mix of bikinis, one-piece swimsuits, cover-ups, and more—all designed to help the Hotties look stylish poolside. With price points ranging from $16 to $28, the line is size-inclusive and will be available at over 500 Walmart stores beginning Monday, May 19. Shoppers can also find the collection online at Walmart.com and via Megan’s official website.

“Everyone knows I love being near a pool or a beach, so I finally decided to turn my passion into a business,” she said in a press release. “I created my own swimwear brand, and I can’t wait for the Hotties to enjoy it.”

Expanding Her Empire: Chicas Divertidas Tequila

The swimwear launch comes just months after Megan introduced another business venture: Chicas Divertidas, her very own premium tequila brand.

“As someone who values good vibes and great memories, I wanted to create a tequila that was designed to be shared and savored with my Hotties,” Megan said. “Smooth, sultry, and premium. This process has been years in the making.”

With Hot Girl Swim and Chicas Divertidas, Megan Thee Stallion is proving that she’s not just a chart-topping rapper—she’s also a force to be reckoned with in the world of fashion and spirits.
