I kinda try to stay aligned with just pure sh*t, like, just being pure and being on the right side of things and not doing no tactics and gimmicks.”

Mustard made it clear that he believes in staying authentic, advising both Drake and other artists to avoid gimmicks in favor of creating good music. He further explained, “You don’t need to do that. Just make music, man, and make good music and you’ll be fine.” This approach, he argues, is the key to maintaining success in the industry without resorting to attention-grabbing stunts.
