After rekindling their relationship in 2023, the iconic couple has officially gone from breakup to baby and “I do.” Now, they’re ready to share it all in their new reality series, Nelly & Ashanti: We Belong Together, premiering June 26th on Peacock.
Secret Marriage, Surprise Baby
Fans suspected a reunion was brewing, but few predicted the full scope of their love story’s return. The two quietly tied the knot and welcomed their first child together, Kareem “KK” Haynes, in July 2024—a milestone moment especially for Ashanti, who became a first-time mom at 43. For Nelly, KK marks baby number five.
Trailer Teases Raw Emotions and Real Growth
In the newly released trailer (June 12), the couple is seen engaging in deep, sometimes difficult conversations about their history, future, and the rollercoaster that is love and fame.
“With our lives moving so fast, we’re not perfect,” Nelly says. “But we can work our way through it.”

“I think sometimes being apart makes you understand each other more,” Nelly told Rasheeda and Kirk Frost in a 2023 sit-down. “We know we wrong, but we gon’ stand on it.”
