Rapper Pusha T has confirmed that his once-close friendship with Kanye West is officially over, stating that he no longer respects the rapper as a man.
In a candid interview with GQ, Pusha T opened up about the breakdown of their relationship.
“That’s why me and him don’t click, because he knows what I really, really think of him. He’s showed me the weakest sides of him, and he knows how I think of weak people,” he said.
From Brotherhood to Breakdown
The tension between the two reportedly began during the 2021 Donda recording sessions in Atlanta. Pusha described a growing sense of mistrust and isolation during that period.
“I realized at certain points that I was really alone in everything that was going on—as far as rap drama, so on and so forth,” he explained.
Once considered one of Kanye’s most loyal collaborators, Pusha T served as president of G.O.O.D. Music, a label under Kanye’s leadership. But as Kanye’s public behavior grew more erratic, Pusha’s loyalty waned.
A Final Break After Controversial Statements
The final straw came when Kanye made antisemitic and offensive public remarks, sparking backlash in late 2022. In response, Pusha T stepped down as president of G.O.O.D. Music and severed ties with the label altogether.
“It’s been disappointing… As a Black man in America, there is no room for bigotry or hate speech,” he stated firmly, distancing himself from Kanye’s rhetoric and actions.
Kanye Wants Reconciliation—But Pusha Isn’t Interested
In a recent social media post, Kanye West expressed that he misses his friendship with Pusha T. However, Pusha appears unmoved, offering no indication that reconciliation is on the table.
While Kanye seems eager to rekindle the bond, Pusha T’s message is clear: respect once lost is hard to regain.
