After nearly two decades, Pusha T and his brother Malice are back on the music scene with their highly anticipated album Let God Sort ‘Em Out. But while the Clipse reunion is making waves, one relationship from Pusha’s past is officially off the table—his friendship with Kanye West.
In a candid sit-down with Complex, Pusha addressed West’s recent attempts to mend their fractured bond. And let’s just say, he didn’t hold back.
🗣️ “I Don’t Care About That At All”
When asked about Ye’s public expression of regret over their estrangement, Pusha was blunt:
“I don’t care about that at all. It’s fine,” he said.
“I would miss me, too. I really would.”
Back in May, Kanye tweeted on X (formerly Twitter):
“I miss me and Pusha’s friendship.”
But for Pusha T, the ship has sailed.
“I’m not in a position to where I can even risk and gamble with the wishy-washiness or the lack of loyalty,” he explained.

💔 From Fierce Defender to Cautious Distance
For years, Pusha stood firmly in Ye’s corner—even during the rapper’s most controversial moments. But as he revealed in the interview, cracks in their relationship began during the recording of Kanye’s Donda album.
“A lot of people who are not that good, they’re just around for no reason. These are the backbiters and the people who have hidden agendas.”
Pusha says Kanye’s circle became too chaotic, and it was no longer a space where he felt comfortable.
🚫 “I Don’t Play Like That”
Pusha doubled down on why he refuses to revisit their friendship:
“I don’t even understand that lack of principles just amongst people you call your brother. I don’t get that. That’s not for me.”
“He [Kanye] tends to connect with a lot of people I don’t connect with. I don’t understand that. That’s just not my name. He does it a lot, and it’s cool, but you got to stay over there with that. I’m going to stay over here with this.”
🎶 Focus on Family, Pharrell & the Music
At 48, Pusha says he’s only concerned with principle-driven partnerships—and that means staying close to his brother Malice and longtime collaborator Pharrell Williams, who produced Let God Sort ‘Em Out in full.
“I’m with my brother and Pharrell. Come on.”
The album has already been praised as a return to Clipse’s raw, uncompromising roots, proving Pusha and Malice haven’t missed a step.
