Rihanna Brings Smurfette to Life in New Trailer for ‘The Smurfs Movie’

Rihanna is making her voiceover debut as Smurfette in the upcoming The Smurfs Movie, and a brand new trailer has just dropped, featuring some exciting new music from the superstar. In the teaser, Rihanna introduces her character and teases fans, saying, “I can’t wait for you to see the movie this summer.”

The trailer blends the nostalgic Smurfs theme song with Rihanna’s infectious 2007 hit Don’t Stop the Music, before transitioning into her cover of Heaven Is a Place on Earth, originally by Belinda Carlisle. The song features a special appearance by DJ Khaled, adding to the star-studded soundtrack.

Rihanna’s voiceover adds some fun insight into the world of Smurf Village, where every day is a celebration. She reveals, “Every Smurf has a job—like Grouchy, Influencer, and me, the coolest Smurf in the whole village.” In this new animated adventure, the Smurfs set off on a mission across various dimensions to find the missing Papa Smurf, voiced by John Goodman. The cast also includes Nick Offerman, Natasha Lyonne, Nick Kroll, James Corden, and Amy Sedaris, who all lend their voices to beloved characters.
