Shakira fans in Boston are heartbroken after the Colombian superstar canceled her Thursday and Friday shows at Fenway Park at the last minute due to staging issues, just hours before the first performance was set to begin.
Safety Concerns Shut It Down
Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ that a routine pre-show inspection revealed structural problems with the stage setup. Boston Inspectional Services ultimately shut things down, citing safety concerns. Thankfully, no one was injured during the rehearsal.
Other artists like Jason Aldean and Brooks & Dunn, who were also slated to perform Friday on the same stage, have had their shows canceled as well.
Fans Devastated and Furious
Shakira’s “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” tour was set to kick off the 2025 Fenway Concert Series, but instead, it’s become a disaster for fans — many of whom had flown in from out of state, booked hotels, and even missed work just to attend.
Fans flooded social media with frustration, some sharing they were already en route to the venue when the cancellation notice dropped.

What Happens Next?
Live Nation and Fenway Park officials advised fans to seek ticket refunds from their point of purchase. As of now, no rescheduled dates have been announced.
Stay tuned to see if Boston gets another shot at seeing Shakira live — but for now, the only thing shaking are the disappointed fans.
