Media personality Sheilah Gashumba has addressed the controversy surrounding her recent social media posts, which sparked allegations of promoting human trafficking. Speaking during preparations for her upcoming exclusive party, Gashumba clarified the intent behind her posts and reassured fans of her values.
The Controversial Post
The uproar stemmed from a Snapchat post Gashumba made while at a top nightclub in South Africa. She explained that her post was inspired by the luxurious experience at the club, which she hopes to replicate at her event.
“I made that post while having a good time in a top club in South Africa. I saw the kind of experience they offer, and I wished to bring the same to my party—international dancers and bottle girls on every table. It was plain that,” Gashumba said.
Denial of Allegations
Sheilah firmly denied any support or involvement in human trafficking, emphasizing her commitment to uplifting those around her.
“Whoever is near me knows that I want everyone near me to get money and enjoy life equally,” she stated. “The age limit for any girl or anyone to join ‘chop life’ is 21 years.”
Focus on the Event
Gashumba used the opportunity to redirect attention to her highly anticipated party, promising an unforgettable experience with international flair. The event, she says, will showcase world-class entertainment while adhering to ethical standards.
The clarification comes as Gashumba works to maintain her brand and assure fans that her values align with their expectations.
