Suge Knight Tells Diddy to Testify: “Have Faith in God and Tell Your Truth”
In an unexpected twist in the ongoing federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs, one of the music mogul’s most notorious rivals — Marion “Suge” Knight — is publicly urging him to take the stand.
Speaking from prison during a phone interview with CNN’s Laura Coates, the former Death Row Records boss offered advice to Diddy, suggesting that testifying in court could “humanize” him in front of the jury — and possibly lead to an acquittal.
“His silence makes him look scared to face the music,” Suge said. “He should have his faith in God and tell his truth.”
Not Friends, But Still Supportive?
Despite their long and often hostile history, Suge told Coates that he believes Diddy should walk free — adding that the prosecutors have yet to clearly prove the charges against him.
Suge reiterated this stance in a separate interview with Chris Cuomo earlier this week, stating, “We’re not friends. But I still think he should definitely walk.”
Suge Breaks Down Explosive Testimony
Suge also appeared on “TMZ Live”, where he weighed in on the dramatic testimony from Diddy’s former assistant Capricorn Clark, whose account added to the growing pile of allegations painting Diddy as a manipulative and abusive figure behind the scenes.
The trial has already seen headline-grabbing testimonies from Cassie, Kid Cudi, and Dawn Richard (of Danity Kane fame), all of whom have spoken to Diddy’s alleged pattern of coercion, abuse, and control.
Diddy Faces Life in Prison
Diddy, who has pleaded not guilty, is currently facing federal charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution — crimes that could result in life imprisonment if convicted.
The Department of Justice has introduced graphic photo evidence, witness statements, and high-profile testimonies in what’s shaping up to be one of the most high-profile trials in hip-hop history.
Suge Speaks from Experience
Suge Knight, who is serving a 28-year sentence for a fatal 2015 hit-and-run, knows the weight of courtroom silence and public scrutiny. His advice to Diddy may come as a surprise, but it underscores how the music industry’s former power players are watching this case unfold — with some even offering unexpected solidarity.
Trial Ongoing
The trial is expected to continue for several more weeks. Whether or not Diddy will take Suge Knight’s advice and testify remains to be seen.
