Swangz Avenue has announced the postponement of the highly anticipated Roast And Rhyme, Reggae Ragga Nyama Nyam edition, which was scheduled to take place today at Jahazi Pier in Munyonyo.
In a statement released early Sunday morning, Swangz Avenue CEO Julius Kyazze explained that the event will not proceed as planned due to “unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.”
He further noted that the tough decision was made at the last minute after considering the safety of revelers and other logistical challenges at the venue.
“We deeply regret to inform you that due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, we must postpone the much-anticipated Roast & Rhyme event, originally scheduled for today, Sunday, February 23, 2024.”
Kyazze emphasized that the decision was not taken lightly. Despite extensive preparations, unexpected challenges with the venue and safety concerns for attendees led to the postponement.
New Date and Ticket Validity
Swangz Avenue has reassured fans that a new date for #RoastAndRhyme will be announced soon, and all previously purchased tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled event.
“A new date will be announced soon. We are actively working with all involved parties to secure the best possible alternative date and will share updates as soon as possible. Your tickets remain valid. There is no need to repurchase. Your current ticket will grant you access to the rescheduled event,” the statement reads.
As a gesture of appreciation for their patience and understanding, all current ticket holders will receive an additional free ticket to bring a friend along to the rescheduled event.
