SZA just gave one lucky fan the memory of a lifetime — proving once again that she truly cares about those who support her. During a recent stop at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, as part of the “Kendrick Lamar and SZA: Grand National Tour,” the Grammy-winning singer went out of her way to recognize a dedicated fan in the crowd.
The fan, Michael Chiaravalloti, had been waiting all day outside the venue — with no food or water — in hopes of meeting the R&B sensation. His patience and persistence paid off in a big way.
Michael documented the unforgettable experience on social media, sharing a video in which SZA not only met him before the show but also gifted him two free pit tickets. In a sweet moment during the concert, she even paused her performance to give him a personal shoutout, waving and calling out, “Hi, Michael!” before continuing her set.
A Fan Moment to Remember
Michael told TMZ that meeting SZA was overwhelming — he was in tears and hyperventilating when he finally came face to face with the artist. But when he asked for a ticket to the show, SZA didn’t hesitate. She immediately ensured her team got his contact details and secured him two pit passes — with one simple condition: “Bring the energy.”
In a heartwarming gesture of paying it forward, Michael gave the second ticket to another fan waiting outside, spreading SZA’s kindness even further.
SZA Explains Her Generosity
SZA later responded to Michael’s Instagram post in the comments, explaining her motivation behind the generous act. She shared that struggles with popularity and inclusion in school have made her especially passionate about making fans feel seen and valued.
“It’s important to me that people feel heard,” she wrote, acknowledging how much it means to connect with fans on a personal level.
“SZA Is Not Like Other Stars”
Michael, who has waited outside hotels and venues in hopes of meeting other celebrities, said this was the first time he experienced such genuine kindness. He even threw a bit of shade at pop icon Justin Bieber, saying he didn’t think Justin would ever do something like this.
“SZA’s actions show that no matter how famous you get, you can still show up for your fans,” he said.
He encourages others to check out SZA’s pop-up events before her concerts, though he jokingly warns not to bombard her with ticket requests.
SZA may sing about “Good Days,” but for Michael and many others, she just made one of the best days ever.
