Duo Alex Pall and Drew Taggart pulled off the ultimate college surprise Friday night, showing up at the FIJI fraternity house ahead of their weekend set at the Breakaway Festival in Phoenix. The plan? Drop a free set for hundreds of hyped ASU students.
Vibes Interrupted by the Police
The crowd was lit, and the Chainsmokers had the energy going strong — but just 13 minutes into their performance, police officers stormed the scene, concerned about the massive, unregulated event.
The officers reportedly took control of the sound system and demanded that everyone under 21 leave immediately. According to attendees, the fraternity was slapped with a fine — but the Chainsmokers didn’t let that ruin the mood.
In true rockstar fashion, they offered to pay the fine themselves and managed to extend the party for another 15 minutes, giving fans a short but unforgettable show.
