Tory Lanez and his legal team have launched a new website — 36hourslater.com — in a bold move to dispute the rapper’s conviction for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in 2020. The site contains never-before-heard audio recordings, witness statements, and new claims that Lanez was not the shooter, instead pointing fingers at Megan’s former best friend, Kelsey Harris.
Shocking Claims from Key Witness Audio
A central feature of the website is audio of trial witness Sean Kelly, who was interviewed by police just hours after the July 12, 2020, shooting. In the recording, Kelly says he saw two women—later identified as Megan and Kelsey—arguing violently outside a Cadillac Escalade.
According to Kelly, Kelsey exited the vehicle in a rage and confronted Megan, leading to what he described as a “vicious catfight” involving kicking and clawing. He then claims he saw Kelsey fire shots toward the vehicle before Tory ever stepped out of the car.
While Kelly did testify in court with a similar account, Tory was still found guilty on three felony counts, including assault with a semiautomatic firearm, in December 2022.
Other Witness Statements Surface
The site also highlights other statements from people involved:
- JauQuan Smith, Tory’s bodyguard and the driver that night, confirmed that a fight broke out between the women, but said he couldn’t confirm who fired the gun.
- Bradlie James, Kelsey’s bodyguard, reportedly told investigators that he overheard Kelsey admitting to firing three shots into the air, while Tory allegedly grabbed the weapon and fired two more shots during a struggle.
Medical Confusion and Forensic Disputes
Lanez’s new campaign also points to conflicting medical reports. While Megan claimed she was shot in the foot, the site references reports from three different doctors, only one of whom classified the injury as a gunshot wound. Video from the night of the incident shows Megan telling officers she stepped on broken glass, though she later clarified she was trying to protect everyone involved at the time.
Megan Responds: “Tory Is a Demon”
Despite the new claims, Megan Thee Stallion remains firm in her accusation. She has repeatedly stated that Tory Lanez was the shooter, most recently referring to him as a “demon” in a social media post.
Lanez is currently serving a 10-year sentence after being convicted in 2023. Recently, disturbing footage emerged online reportedly showing Lanez being stabbed 14 times while in prison, adding more urgency to his team’s efforts to seek a new trial or possible appeal.
What’s Next?
The new website is drawing widespread attention and raising fresh questions about what really happened that night. While the legal process has already played out in court, Tory Lanez’s team seems determined to challenge the narrative and fight for a different outcome.
Whether this effort leads to a retrial or not remains to be seen.
