Sonstar Peterson, father of rapper Tory Lanez, has opened up about an inspiring new project his son is working on behind bars — a self-help book titled The 360 Phenomenon — and teased the possibility of an early release from prison.
In a recent interview, Sonstar described the book as a “majorly transformative” guide designed to help readers reshape their mindset and transform their lives in just 90 days.
Tory Lanez’s Transformative Book: The 360 Phenomenon
Sonstar explained that the book explores life’s cyclical nature rather than a linear path.
“We created this thing whereby we could show people how you can start where you are, no matter where you start on that wheel, and you can literally go through a transformation of your thought process, your thinking within 90 days,” he said.
While it doesn’t promise instant success, the book aims to help readers shift their perspective and begin meaningful change.
Early Release? Tory Lanez’s Legal Battle Continues
Sonstar also hinted that Tory Lanez could be freed earlier than expected from his 10-year prison sentence related to the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.
“I wouldn’t go on record giving a date right now,” he said. “But what I will say is that there are movements happening in the background and the powers that be can clearly see that this was a hatchet job.”
Tory was convicted on three felony counts: assault with a semiautomatic firearm, carrying a loaded unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.
The shooting incident occurred after a party at Kylie Jenner’s home, where an argument escalated inside a vehicle. Megan testified that Tory shot her in the feet as she exited.
New Evidence and Appeal Efforts
Tory Lanez’s legal team has launched a website, 36hourslater.com, claiming to expose “suppressed evidence” from the trial. It includes police bodycam footage, witness audio, and expert analysis that some say challenges the prosecution’s case.
One video allegedly shows eyewitness Sean Kelly telling police he saw a woman — believed to be Kelsey Harris — fire the weapon. Another clip reveals Megan initially told officers she stepped on glass, which she later said was to protect those involved.
Despite this, Megan’s legal team maintains that the original evidence supports the conviction, including text messages, medical records, and sworn testimony.
Father’s Confidence in a Positive Outcome
Sonstar remains hopeful that Tory’s appeal will succeed sooner than many expect.
“I believe it is much sooner than a lot of people think, much sooner than later. And yeah, he’s coming, he’s coming out, he’s coming out,” he said confidently.
