Dustin Lampros is known for his dominance in the MMA cage, but outside of fighting, he’s on a different kind of mission—taking down child predators. The undefeated 9-0 fighter opened up to TMZ Sports ahead of his Shamrock FC title bout on March 22, sharing the intense experiences he’s faced in his side gig.
Lampros revealed he started the initiative with a friend two years ago, aiming to make a difference in his community. “When he exposed it to me and brought me into that world, I instantly felt motivated to do something,” Lampros said. “At first, it was kind of like, ‘Let’s see what we can do.’ Then it kind of snowballed from there.”
So far, he estimates that they’ve helped catch around 50 offenders—but not without facing danger. The 30-year-old fighter recalled harrowing moments, including a suspect pulling out a box cutter during a confrontation and another retrieving a handgun from his car. Fortunately, Lampros and his team always take necessary precautions to avoid escalation.
