Jim Marshall wasn’t just a great player — he was a foundational pillar of the Minnesota Vikings. A fourth-round pick out of Ohio State, he joined the team in 1961 and stayed until his retirement in 1979. In that time, he:

- Logged 30 fumble recoveries
- Scored one defensive touchdown
- Made 270 consecutive starts, the most by any defensive player in NFL history
- Became one of only 11 players to compete in all four Vikings Super Bowl appearances in the 1970s
