The tragic death of rapper Young Scooter has officially been ruled an accident, with both the Atlanta Police and Fulton County Medical Examiner confirming that the fatal injury resulted from the rapper’s attempt to flee from police. The autopsy revealed that the injury, which occurred when Scooter jumped a wooden fence, contradicted earlier claims from his friend, Young Thug, who had suggested that the rapper had been shot.
However, the situation surrounding Young Scooter’s death remains clouded with confusion. The woman at the center of the 911 call, Demi Blanco (also known as Demetria Spencer and a star on Zeus Network’s Baddies), has now publicly spoken out, offering a significantly different version of events.
In a live Instagram video on Tuesday, Demi addressed the backlash she has faced on social media, stating that she has been unfairly targeted. Contrary to her previous statement to emergency responders, which described a naked woman being beaten outside an Atlanta home, she now insists she called 911 to “protect herself.”
Demi, who has been vocal about her own experiences with abuse, further added to the confusion by claiming that she was trying to shield herself from danger. However, her inconsistent statements, particularly her struggle to accurately describe the alleged attacker during the 911 call, have raised doubts. Despite her claims, Atlanta police found no evidence to support the details she provided. What they did find was Scooter and another man, who were allegedly attempting to escape when the fatal injury occurred.
Authorities have continued to affirm that no shots were fired during the incident. However, Young Thug has expressed skepticism about the official ruling, accusing Atlanta PD’s gang investigator, Marissa Viverito, of withholding key information about the circumstances of Scooter’s death. While it remains unclear whether Viverito has any direct involvement, her past testimony in Thug’s YSL trial, where Scooter had publicly shown his support, has fueled speculation.
In a separate development, Demi Blanco was arrested by Atlanta Police on April 1st. She was charged with transmitting a false public alarm, stemming from her 911 call. The unfolding situation continues to raise questions about the events leading up to Young Scooter’s death and the role Demi Blanco played in it.
