Attorney Lisa Bloom is calling out the shocking jury verdict in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ high-profile sex trafficking case—saying it left her with the same “gut punch” she felt when O.J. Simpson was acquitted in his infamous murder trial.

Bloom, who represents Diddy’s sexual assault accuser Dawn Richard, tells TMZ this is one of the most crushing outcomes for survivors of sexual abuse in decades.

“This Verdict Feels Like O.J. All Over Again”

The celebrity lawyer says she was stunned to see the hip-hop mogul convicted only on minor prostitution charges despite a flood of evidence—including a damning video showing Diddy beating and dragging his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.

????️ “It’s hard to see a man caught on video brutally assaulting his girlfriend and then walking away from the most serious charges,” Bloom told TMZ.

The Charges That Didn’t Stick

But he was convicted of two counts under the Mann Act for transporting women across state lines for prostitution.

Did the Jury Miss the Point?

Bloom says prosecutors worked tirelessly, calling 34 witnesses to the stand, but wonders if jurors ignored critical testimony from forensic psychologist Dr. Dawn Hughes.

Hughes explained why survivors often remain in abusive relationships and how power dynamics can warp consent.

Defense Strategy Worked in Diddy’s Favor

Bloom admits Diddy’s legal team skillfully used text messages from Cassie and other women to paint a narrative of consensual participation in his infamous “freak offs.”

????️ “It’s common for victims to say whatever their abuser wants to hear, especially when there’s manipulation and fear involved,” Bloom said.

She also suggests Diddy’s celebrity status may have helped sway the jury.

????️ “Diddy is a huge star, especially in New York, and we can’t ignore how fame can influence perceptions.”

A Civil Battle Still Looms

While the criminal case is over, Bloom says she and Dawn Richard will continue to fight through their civil lawsuit against the hip-hop mogul.

????️ “Though this verdict is disappointing, survivors must keep pushing forward against bullies and abusers.”

???? TPR Exclusive Question:

Do you agree with Lisa Bloom that Diddy’s fame helped him walk free on major charges—or was the jury right?
