Judge Mathis

As Sean “Diddy” Combs awaits sentencing after being convicted on prostitution charges, Judge Greg Mathis is weighing in—and he’s not holding back.

The famed TV judge tells TMZ he believes Diddy should get the same punishment any other first-time offender would: 21 to 27 months behind bars.

????️ “He should be sentenced like anyone else. Diddy needs help or he’s going to do it again.”

“The RICO Charge Never Made Sense”

Speaking to TMZ cameras at Mountain Gate Golf Course, Judge Mathis said he never thought the racketeering (RICO) charge against Diddy would stick. He also called the sex trafficking counts “questionable,” though he expressed deep sympathy for Cassie Ventura and other women who testified about abuse.

????️ “I feel for Cassie and what she went through,” Mathis added.

No Bail for Diddy—And Mathis Thinks That’s Fair

Diddy is currently locked up after being denied bail. While Judge Mathis isn’t sure if the hip-hop mogul would have posed a danger to society or witnesses had he been released, he believes the judge made the right call keeping him behind bars until sentencing.

“Has Diddy Learned His Lesson?”

When asked if he thinks the Bad Boy founder has learned from this ordeal, Mathis was skeptical.

????️ “I’m unsure if he’s learned any lesson, and without help, he’s going to do it again.”

On Federal Overcharging & Trump Pardons

Mathis also weighed in on criticism that the feds overreached by hitting Diddy with RICO charges in the first place.

????️ “That’s how Uncle Sam operates sometimes—they stack charges to make something stick.”

When asked about a potential pardon from Donald Trump, Mathis offered a cautious take, saying it wouldn’t shock him if a high-profile move like that happened.

???? TPR Exclusive Question:

Do you agree with Judge Mathis—should Diddy serve time and get professional help? Or do you think he’s already been punished enough?
