50 Cent isn’t just making hits—he’s making history in Shreveport. The rap mogul’s G-Unit Studios, which opened downtown last year, is quickly becoming the heartbeat of the city’s cultural and economic revival.
On Monday, the Caddo Parish Economic Development Committee put him at the center of its agenda, underscoring just how much the Power creator’s latest venture is shaping the city’s future.
Shreveport’s New “Power” Player
G-Unit Studios has already drawn new productions, created jobs, and pulled fresh energy into Shreveport. City leaders see it as more than a film hub—it’s a magnet for tourism, music, and big-name talent.
Growth adviser Orville Hall, speaking on behalf of G-Unit, told officials the best is yet to come.
“For the people of Shreveport, just watch what’s coming. You’re in the right city,” Hall teased.
That promise set the stage for the meeting’s biggest reveal.
Enter the G-Dome
Fans first got a taste of the inflatable “G-Dome” during the 2024 Humor & Harmony Weekend, where it instantly became a crowd favorite. Now, 50 Cent is making it permanent.
The new structure is expected to become a landmark—part futuristic concert hall, part film venue, part festival hub. According to Mayor Tom Arceneaux, the dome could officially debut during the next Humor & Harmony Weekend, locked in for March 2026.
Hall hinted that the event will be stacked with celebrity performances, with some of the biggest names in music and entertainment on the invite list.
A City Reimagined
The momentum goes beyond one building. Since launching, G-Unit Studios has pulled productions into Shreveport that otherwise would’ve gone to Atlanta, New Orleans, or L.A. The shift is giving locals new opportunities while putting the city on the cultural map.
For 50 Cent, the investment is bigger than business. It’s about reinventing a city hungry for growth—and he’s positioning Shreveport as a new Southern capital for entertainment.
What’s Next
With the G-Dome, major festivals, and high-profile celebrity appearances in the pipeline, Shreveport is on the brink of a major glow-up. Monday’s meeting made one thing clear: 50 Cent isn’t just building a studio—he’s building a future.
