Travis Scott is facing a new civil lawsuit stemming from a 2024 yacht charter in Miami, with several crew members alleging the rapper assaulted workers and created a dangerous situation aboard the luxury vessel.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the plaintiffs accuse Scott of battery, assault, false imprisonment, and other civil claims related to an incident that unfolded during the charter.
The lawsuit follows Scott’s arrest after the incident last year. Prosecutors later dropped the criminal charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing. The new lawsuit, however, seeks civil damages based on the crew’s version of events.
Scott’s representatives had not publicly commented on the lawsuit at the time of publication, according to TMZ.

Crew Alleges Dispute Began Over a Jet Ski
According to the complaint, Scott chartered a yacht in Miami and was joined by several women, members of his security team, and alcohol.
The captain alleges that tensions escalated after Scott requested to use a jet ski.
The captain claims he refused the request because he believed Scott appeared too intoxicated to operate one safely.
According to the lawsuit, Scott then instructed the captain to head toward a nearby marina before unexpectedly jumping from the yacht onto a dock, leaving the remaining guests aboard for approximately 30 minutes.
The complaint alleges that when Scott later returned to the yacht, he was visibly upset and confrontational.
Lawsuit Details Assault and Threat Allegations
The captain claims he decided to end the charter because of Scott’s alleged behavior and informed the group that they would need to leave the vessel.
According to the lawsuit, the situation escalated when Scott allegedly attacked the captain, threatened to kill him, and repeatedly told him he was “dead.”
The complaint further alleges that one of Scott’s own security guards initially intervened to calm the situation before Scott allegedly dismissed the guard.
These allegations are contained in the civil complaint and have not been proven in court.

Marina Workers Also Claim They Were Injured
The lawsuit states that additional marina employees came to assist as the situation unfolded.
Those workers allege they also became involved in the confrontation.
According to the complaint, Scott allegedly charged toward two crew members, striking them with his shoulder.
One female worker claims she was knocked into a table and suffered injuries during the incident.
The plaintiffs further allege Scott prevented them from leaving the yacht until police arrived and removed him from the vessel.
Based on those allegations, the lawsuit includes claims for battery, assault, false imprisonment, and additional civil causes of action.
Criminal Charges Were Later Dropped
The lawsuit revives public attention surrounding an incident that previously resulted in Scott’s arrest in Miami.
As previously reported, prosecutors later dropped the criminal charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing.
The dismissal of those criminal charges does not resolve the civil claims now being pursued by the yacht crew.
Civil lawsuits operate under different legal standards and are decided independently from criminal proceedings.
At this stage, the allegations in the complaint remain contested, and no court has ruled on the merits of the plaintiffs’ claims.

Why the Lawsuit Matters
The case represents the latest legal challenge involving one of hip-hop’s biggest stars.
While the earlier criminal matter concluded without convictions after prosecutors dismissed the charges, the civil lawsuit allows the plaintiffs to seek financial damages based on their allegations.
The outcome will ultimately depend on evidence presented during the civil litigation and any defenses raised by Scott.
For the yacht crew members, the lawsuit represents an effort to seek compensation for what they describe as a frightening encounter while performing their jobs.
For Scott, it marks another high-profile legal matter that will now play out in civil court rather than criminal court.
As the case moves forward, both sides will have an opportunity to present their evidence before the court.
The Miami yacht incident may have faded from the criminal courts, but it has now resurfaced in a civil lawsuit that could keep Travis Scott’s legal team busy once again.
The case remains in its early stages, and no findings have been made regarding the allegations.
